Welcome to The Solo Grind

An Introduction

This week is the first edition of my new newsletter.

I found that writing “The Branding Buzz,” my original publication, just wasn’t aligning with the direction I wanted to take my business or my personal brand. It felt like a chore to write each week, instead of being something that I genuinely enjoyed creating, and that came from a place of authenticity for my brand.

So - welcome to The Solo Grind.

My experience growing a business (or businesses) from the ground up.

Each week I’ll share a lesson, advice, experience, or just something on my mind.

I hope you enjoy.

Today I’m going to start out by introducing myself.

I’m a 25-year old, female entrepreneur currently based in Western New York. However, my business and goals in life have me working completely remotely. All I need, no matter where in the world I am, is my laptop and an internet connection.

I run a marketing & social media management business geared toward real estate agents. And over the past week, have been building a second, product-based company that will serve the same population. Stay tuned for its launch in the next week or so.

Over the past 25 years I’ve had quite the range of experiences both personally and professionally. On a professional side - I’ve done everything from selling cars & houses, to making coffee, to software engineering, to being a researcher & co-author published in a national scientific journal. I’ve learned so much in so many areas of business and the culmination of that knowledge and those experiences has ultimately put me on my current path. I’ve found that my love for psychology, selling, marketing, and business has translated into being able to do those things to help others.

If you want to get a deeper sense of the journey I’ve been on, check out this thread tweet from a while back:

Also consider following me on Twitter for more real-time updates and thoughts about business & life - I’ll be posting regularly on my own social media accounts going forward.

That’s it for this week’s email. I’ll catch back up with you next Tuesday.
